Willingly Blind

TimeWatch Editorial
February 23, 2016

In our editorial dated February 13, 2016 entitled: Crossing the Border, part 2, we quoted a speech given in the spring of 1852, when a number of Bishops gathered for a meeting at Buffalo, New York. It was at that meeting that the real motivation for increasing the population of Irish Catholics in the United States was revealed. Here is the plan.

"We are determined, to take possession of the United States and rule them;… Let us then multiply our votes; let us call our poor but faithful Irish Catholics from every corner of the world….. What will those hypocritical and godless sons and daughters of the fanatical Pilgrim Fathers say, when not a single judge, not a single teacher, not a single policeman, will be elected if he be not a devoted Irish Roman Catholic?” Charles Chiniquy, Fifty Years in the Church of Rome, p. 375.

Chiniquy does not only reveal the plan and the method whereby these bishops will accomplish their goal, he goes a step further and assesses their success during his time, bearing in mind that the book was copyrighted in 1884. Remember, the meeting was held in 1852. Thirty-two years later, the book was published. Here is what he says:

‘The Catholic priests, with the most admirable ability and success, have gathered their Irish legions into the great cities of the United States, and the American people must be very blind indeed, if they do not see that if they do nothing to prevent it, the day is very near when the Jesuits will rule their country, from the magnificent White House at Washington to the humblest civil and military department of this vast Republic. They are already the masters of New York, Baltimore, Chicago, St. Paul, New Orleans, Mobile, Savannah, Cincinnati, Albany, Troy, Milwaukee, St. Louis, San Francisco. Yes! San Francisco, the rich, the great queen of the Pacific, is in the hands of the Jesuits!’ Charles Chiniquy, Fifty Years in the Church of Rome, p. 376.

Notice Chiniquy says “The Catholic priests … have gathered their Irish legions into the great cities of the United States.” Not will gather, but have gathered. Then he proceeds to describe exactly the present condition of the American people:
“the American people must be very blind indeed” he says. Indeed they are. Seduced, distracted and spending every possible moment entertaining themselves and their children. Absorbed in a life filled with the superficial, they are misled by the garbage constantly fed by the corrupted media on both sides of the isle, spending their last dime on the unnecessary, while their masters manipulate their simplest decisions. Made slaves to the superficial, they will ultimately submit to the will of those who have pledged with their blood to “rule the United States, and lay them at the feet of the Vicar of Jesus Christ, that he may put an end to their godless system of education, and impious laws of liberty of conscience which are an insult to God and man!"

Quite soon, the method will shift from persuasion to coercion and those who refuse to comply will:

Soon see and shall feel what the purpose of the Roman element is. Whoever shall believe and obey the Word of God will thereby incur reproach and persecution. Great Controversy, page 581, paragraph 1.

Incidentally, the first edition of the book Great Controversy was published the same year as Chiniquy’s book, in 1884. One more quote from the 1911 edition of the Great Controversy.

“When appearing as members of their order, they wore a garb of sanctity, visiting prisons and hospitals, ministering to the sick and the poor, professing to have renounced the world, and bearing the sacred name of Jesus, who went about doing good. But under this blameless exterior the most criminal and deadly purposes were often concealed. It was a fundamental principle of the order that the end justifies the means. By this code, lying, theft, perjury, assassination, were not only pardonable but commendable, when they served the interests of the church. Under various disguises the Jesuits worked their way into offices of state, climbing up to be the counselors of kings, and shaping the policy of nations. They became servants to act as spies upon their masters. They established colleges for the sons of princes and nobles, and schools for the common people; and the children of Protestant parents were drawn into an observance of popish rites. All the outward pomp and display of the Romish worship was brought to bear to confuse the mind and dazzle and captivate the imagination, and thus the liberty for which the fathers had toiled and bled was betrayed by the sons. The Jesuits rapidly spread themselves over Europe, and wherever they went, there followed a revival of popery.” — E. G. White, The Great Controversy, pp. 234, 235, 1911, Pacific Press Publishing Assn.

Please, before it is absolutely too late, open your eyes.
